Samael 22.03.1992 Bodegraven

Earliest music of Samael was doomy black metal inspired by Hellhammer/Celtic Frost. In that vein they recorded bunch of demos and two albums : "Worship Him" [1991] and "Blood Ritual" [1992]. After that band started to experiment with their sound and slowly changed into more electronic/industrial.
This show was played few months before recording of "Blood Ritual". Most of songs are from "Worship Him". Only "...Until the Chaos" is from "Blood Ritual". "The Third of the Storms" is of course cover of Hellhammer.

Don't Panic, We're From Poland!!! part 21 - Drum Freaks

Drum Freaks is project of Milo Kurtis from Osjan. He also played with Maanam, Brygada kryzys, Voo Voo, Izrael. Music is similar to Osjan.
The music of Drum Freaks has Deep Roots. A Greek from Warsaw and Jamaican from London takes us on a journey, which encompasses both Tibet and South America, India and Australia, and on the way they let us peek through the doors of forgotten temples and side-road inns.
"Smyrna" was recorded live at St. John's Church in Gdansk. It's colaboration between Drum freaks and didgeridoo player Wallis Buchanan.

Sunn O))) is drone doom duo established by Stephen O'Malley (god of doom - played in Burning Witch, Khanate, Thorr's Hammer, Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine and about dozen more) and Greg Anderson (Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine, Goatsnake and some other bands).
Here Sunn O))) plays as septet - including Attila Csihar (Tormentor, Mayhem, Aborym) and Justin K. Broadrick (Godflesh, Techno Animal and 418 other bands, projects and colaborations).

Don't Panic, We're From Poland!!! part 20 - Aurora

Aurora was ephemeric but very interesting polish band formed spring 1987 in Rzeszow. Music started as punk rock but changed to postpunk / coldwave with electronic accents. In 1988 Aurora recorded their first and only album "Miedzynarodowka / Internationale". Band decayed shortly after that. Due to many problem album was released in 2004.
Music on that album is innovative postpunk / cold wave with laibachish industrial insertions. Final effect could be compared to early Ministry and Front Line Assembly. Great shame that this music was forgotten for so many years.
Lyrics are even more interesting. Because problems with censorhip lyrics couldn't be in polish. Almost every track is sung in different language. Among them: english, german, spanish and even serbo-croatian!
Tracks 10 to 12 are early versions in polish language. Untitled track 13 is conversation betwen members of communist riot police during quelling demonstration.

Don't Panic, We're From Poland!!! part 19 - Marek Grechuta

Marek Grechuta, one of the best polish songwriters, was born 10.12.1945, died 09.10.2006. Grechuta was a singer, songwriter, composer, and lyricist. Recorded both solo records and albums with bands Anawa and WIEM (W Innej Epoce Muzycznej).
His music is form of soft progressive rock with poetic, psychedelic lyrics.
Song on this compilation were recorded between 1969 and 1993.

Dead Can Dance "Gothic Spleens"

Dead Can Dance was a project lead by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. Started in Melbourne in 1981, disabnded in 1998. Reunited for a while in 2005. Their music changed from gothic to more ethereal forms. Later Dead Can Dance music is atmospheric mixture of neoclassical and ethnic music.
This concert was recorded in Hamburg, 26.10.1990. Excellent sound quality and some unreleased song make it worth of listen.
