In november 1976 Lou Reed relased seventh solo album "Rock and Roll Heart". One of gigs promoting that album was released on bootleg "Claim 2 Fame". It contains song recorded 01 december 1976 in Roxy Theatre, Los Angeles.Unlike usual Lou Reed music this gig is some funky/jazzy stuff. This version of "Kicks" is absolutely astounding. On that night Reed's band had one extra member. This guest musician was Don Cherry. He plays trumpet on some tracks.
With great soundboard quality and quite unique stuff, this is one of Reed's best bootlegs.
