Don't Panic, We're From Poland!!! part 55 - The Users

The Users was polish underground supergroup. Line-up: Robert Brylewski - Guitar (Armia, Brygada Kryzys, Deadlock, Falarek band, Izrael, Kryzys, 52um), Marcin Świetlicki - Vocals (Świetliki), Mikołaj Trzaska - saxophons, bass clarinet (Łoskot, Masło, Miłość, NRD), Ryszard "Tymon" Tymański - bass, double bass, vocals (Czan, Kury, Masło, Miłość, NRD, Trupy), Milo Kurtis - percussions (Drum Freaks, Manaam, Osjan, Voo Voo), Jacek Olter - drums (Kury, Miłość, NRD).
Album "Nie idź do pracy" was recorded during their first gig 08.04.1999. Earlier they played only one rehearsal. It's improvised jazz with ethnic and dub influences.

Bad Seed's first gig in America. Line-up at this point was: Barry Adamson, Blixa Bargeld, Mick Harvey, Hugo Race and of course Nick Cave. "From Her to Eternity" stuff + cover of "I Put a Spell on You" (Screaming Jay Hawkins) and nice version of "Mutiny in Heaven" by The Birthday Party.

Don't Panic, We're From Poland!!! part 54 - Trzaska & Ostrowski

Colaboration between Mikołaj Trzaska (saxophonist, member of Miłość, Łoskot, NRD, Masło and some more) and Cezary Ostrowski (electronica composer, member of Bexa Lala). They recorded one album "Ostrza/Blades" [OSTRowski + TRZAska] in 2001 and made it avaible as free download. That site now is down but you can check this album here. Nu Jazz nicely blending Ostrowski's electronica and Trzaska's Sax.

Ron Asheton RIP - The Stooges 01.11.2003 New Orleans

Ron Asheton was found dead 06.01.2009. Most famous as The Stooges gutairist, played also in The New Order (not this english one), Destroy All Monsters, and Wylde Ratttz.
This is gig of reformed The Stooges. Almost original line-up: Iggy Pop, Ron Asheton, Scott Asheton, Mike Watt, Steve MacKay. Iggy obviousy was in bad mood. He is offending audience by most of the show. At one point he screams "You suck like the bands you like" - nice.

Don't Panic, We're From Poland!!! part 53 - Falarek Band

Falarek Band was created in early nineties by Piotr "Fala" Falkowski (Kult, Houk) and Arkadiusz Antonowicz. Later Robert Brylewski, Jarosław "Smok" Smak (Post Regiment) and Piotr "Samohut" Subotkiewicz joined.
First album "Falarek" was recorded 1993-1995 and self released by band in 1996. Music on this album is trance postpunk/postrock with heavy hypnotic riffs. "Freex" is a killer.
In the same year limited EP "+++" was released. Second album was planned but never came. One song "Red Light" was released on BRUM compilation.
