Nyia is a polish band formed in 1999 by ex-members of Kobong, Prophecy and Vader. As they say it's Avant Garde Grindcore Fusion. Name of the band is taken from Polish pagan goddess of death.
Their debut album "Head Held High" was released in 2004. This music is truly devastating. Ultra heavy and very technical. Each song is like a bullet from AK-47. Only one aim - Crush, kill, destroy!
Nyia's new album "More Than You Expect" wil be released soon by FETO Records - label of Shane Embury (Napalm Death/ Brujeria/ Lock up/ Venomous Concept) and Mick Kenney (Anaal Nathrakh/ Exploder/ Mistress/ Frost).
